Inspired by three sweet, fun, and energetic children, a wonderful and supportive husband, my experiences as an Elementary teacher, and the beauty of God’s creation, I found my passion for photography.  My goal as a photographer is to capture beautiful images that capture your beautiful life!  After having children of my own I realize now, more than ever, how quickly the tiniest details that compose our lives pass us by.  The itty bitty fingers and toes on our newborn babies, the first smiles, yawns or tears from our precious little ones, the mischievous gleam in the eye of our naughty 3 year olds, and the unrestrained laughs and expressions of our children at all stages deserve to be captured and displayed for years to come. Even the awkward moments and phases of life hold memories worth preserving, right through to the beautiful expressions of love demonstrated on the wedding day. What drives my passion for photography is being able to capture those moments that can so easily become a blur of distant memories amidst our busy, ever changing lives. 

 

During my sessions, whether they be in my home studio, out in nature, or at a wedding venue, I love to capture a nice variety of creative and artistically posed images as well as natural, candid shots that highlight the unique personalities of my clients.  I strive try to set a tone that makes our sessions fun, relaxed and an enjoyable experience for everyone! Beyond your session, my artistry and perfectionist nature help me to craft your images into beautiful works of art. 

 

I am a self-taught photographer and my business has been built on word of mouth referrals. Although my passion for photography is rooted back to my adolescent years, in January 2014 I began to pursue photography as more than just a hobby. Whenever I could find time between raising my growing family, teaching fitness classes, providing childcare in my home, and volunteering at my church’s Academy, I started practicing, reading, watching videos and seeking out any opportunity I could to further develop my skills. I connected with a sweet and amazing family and wedding photographer, Melissa Kolb, who has been a wonderful mentor throughout this journey!  In the spring and summer of 2015 I also had the opportunity to train with another wedding photographer, David Mazur, as we shot three weddings together, and he then hired me to photograph his daughter’s wedding.  Venturing into wedding photography has been an incredibly exciting and rewarding experience! I am truly honored to have the privilege to capture the love story that unfolds on the most important day of a couple’s life. I love the variety of what I do and am excited to see what memories I can capture for you in the future!
